Book Review – She’s With Me

Title: She’s With Me

Author: Vanessa Cardui

Synopsis: It’s a fact that Izzy likes men. Meeka’s rule is never crush on straight friends. But a single fact isn’t the whole picture, and sometimes rules get broken. On a night out drinking, the two friends stumble into territory that breaks all the unwritten rules, and Izzy learns that ‘likes men’ doesn’t keep her from enjoying the rush of giving Meeka orders—and Meeka will do anything to keep her attention.

Rating: 3 stars

Review: I received this story as an e-ARC from Less Than Three Press via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

If I’m completely honest, this was the most boring thing I’ve read in a long time. Thank goodness it was so short because otherwise I would have marked it as DNF. That doesn’t mean it’s totally bad though.

The characters were vaguely interesting – Meeka is totally secure in her sexuality, and Izzy is quite a sexy dominant. I’d love to see these characters in a full book of their own, rather than just this 12,000 word story. It could be a proper erotic romance – without the abuse – a I’d be very interested in reading a full-blown book like that.

There isn’t much I can think of to say about this, except: if you like girl-on-girl explicit content, with a BDSM edge, this is definitely something you’ll love.
