It’s September. The Hogwarts Express has already wound its way through Scotland, this year bringing James S. Potter to school, where he was Sorted into Gryffindor. But for those of us who cannot attend Hogwarts physically – be it reasons of age, location or imagination – there’s a Harry Potter rereadathon!
I’m so excited to be taking part in this Harry Potter-themed readathon, hosted by YA Interrobang. This one’s a little more relaxed than ARC August, so I’m definitely looking forward to that. Also, it’s Harry freaking Potter – I need no excuse to read these amazing book.
The readathon runs from September 29 through til the end of December – two weeks to read each book – but I’ll not only be reading the main books, but also watching the movies and reading the extra books like ‘The Tales of Beedle The Bard.’
September 29: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
October 13: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
October 27: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
November 10: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
November 24: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
December 8: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
December 22: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
At the start of each period, I’ll do a post detailing my thoughts on each book – different HP thoughts and ideas, some theories, and maybe some fan art as well. I’ll also keep my progress updated on Twitter and Goodreads throughout the whole thing.
I can’t wait to do this readathon, and to connect with a lot of different HP fans throughout it. Also, it’s been too long since I’ve read the books, so this is sort of perfect timing.
